About Marcellus Nursery
Our History
Marcellus Nursery was started in the spring of 1962 by the owner, Ted Stetler, after his graduation from SUNY Farmingdale, and with the purchase of 44 acres of farmland in Marcellus, New York and the initial planting of 800 seedings. In 1970, Ted and his wife opened the garden center at the present location on Onondaga Road in Syracuse, NY.
Today
Marcellus Nursery is still a family owned and operated retail and wholesale nursery and garden center. Celebrating 50 years of growing. Currently, Rachel Reynolds is the garden center manager. She has been with us for over 26 years. The business currently operates 70 acres of farmland in Marcellus, NY where there are over 85,000 plants between our Nursery & Garden Center.
